Apparently fire department personnel are not the only ones with strong brotherhood ties!  Pipe Major Ivan Browning, Piper/Secretary Michael Skidmore and student Tom Potter traveled to Burbank, California last week to support our brother Scott Doyle in his continuing effort to recover from his tragic BASE jumping accident.  Scott has a huge BASE jumping family throughout the nation (and probably world also) who has been trying to help him as well.

Family friend Michelle Van Duzen from Burbank, California, set-up a comedy show fundraiser to support Scott's recovery by raising money.  The show was a hit with 7 Los Angeles area comedians making the crowd laugh hysterically!  There was also a silent auction of many items to assist in raising money.  We would like to thank everyone who bought tickets to the show and also bought auction items.

The MCFFPD would like to extend our deepest and heartfelt thank you to Michelle, her family and her friends for inviting us out and taking care of us during our time in Cali!  The hospitality could not have been better and we had a great time!
